The strategy is content, content, content. We are soliciting for speakers and reviewing content to maximize simplicity. We also plan to have other events on campus leading to the conference itself which is intended as a just one of many activities. I am open to suggestions and ideas though :) -----Original Message----- From: The EDUCAUSE Security Constituent Group Listserv [mailto:SECURITY () LISTSERV EDUCAUSE EDU] On Behalf Of Valdis Kletnieks Sent: Tuesday, September 07, 2010 2:07 AM To: SECURITY () LISTSERV EDUCAUSE EDU Subject: Re: [SECURITY] National Cyber Security Awareness Month @ Morgan State University On Mon, 06 Sep 2010 22:35:18 EDT, "Dr. Wole Akpose" said:
The conference is expected to attract students, faculty members and people from industry to the campus for a day of conversation on Securing your data and identity on social network sites. We are expecting speakers from industry and academia for the event.
Do you have any plans to avoid the "preaching to the choir" effect? Usually, throwing this sort of conference only attracts those who are already security-aware, and those people usually aren't your problem users.
