The rationale for colleges and universities having a robust Identity and Access Management (IAM) program is closely aligned with the privacy and security interests of security professionals. Accordingly, EDUCAUSE has been moving to align its programs and raise the visibility of IAM among CIO's, security professionals, and others. EDUCAUSE also recognizes the importance and value of partnerships, and both Internet2 and InCommon are recognized as community leaders in the areas of middleware and IAM. Therefore, I am pleased to announce IAM Online (www.incommon.org/IAM_Online) - a new monthly series delivering interactive education on Identity and Access Management brought to you by the InCommon Federation in cooperation with Internet2 and the EDUCAUSE Identity and Access Management Working Group. The first online seminar will be held next Friday, February 12th, at 1 p.m. ET (see full details below). Thereafter, IAM Online will be held on the second Thursday of the month at 1 p.m. ET. We look forward to seeing many security professionals participating in this exciting new program. -Rodney IAM Online (www.incommon.org/IAM_Online) Introduction to Federated Identity Management Friday, February 12, 2010, 1 p.m. EST / Noon CST / 11 a.m. MST / 10 a.m. PST Guest Speaker: John O'Keefe, Director of Academic Technology and Network Services, Lafayette College Abstract: Join presenter John O'Keefe and learn how Lafayette College leveraged their existing identity management infrastructures to provide single sign-on access to resources both on- and off-campus.
