Re: Strange E-mails

Looks like a Direct Harvest Attack (DHA). Essentially, a probe to glean valid email addresses. One way to foil them
is to send non-existent addressed e-mail into /dev/null (aka no response mechanism.)

Subject: [SECURITY] Strange E-mails

This may have already been addressed, but we have been receiving a number of strange e-mails - no attachments - with
the following in the message:

----------
From: Mrs. Hook [mailto:wswilliamscott5 () gmail com]
Sent: Wednesday, November 19, 2008 1:45 AM
To: <redacted>
Subject: Hello

Hi Sir/Madam,

               Have a nice Day.

Regards
Hook
----------

Is anyone else experiencing this and if so - any thoughts as to what's behind the e-mails?

Thanks,
Chris
