Dear EDUCAUSE Security Discussion Group ,

Carnegie Mellon has partnered with the SANS Institute to offer SANS'
Developer 422: Web Application Security Essentials, on June 2 - 3, 2009
at Carnegie Mellon.
http://www.cmu.edu/computing/news/security/2009/apr/041409-1.html

Developer 422: Web Application Security Essentials will help you
understand the fundamental reasons behind the Web vulnerabilities, which
will then enable you to properly defend your organization's Web assets.
Mitigation strategies from an infrastructure, architecture, and coding
perspective will be discussed alongside real-world implementations that
really work. The key security problem areas of Web applications will be
covered.

The course will be taught by SANS' own Dr. Johannes Ullrich, Ph.D. As
Chief Research Officer for the SANS Institute, Johannes is currently
responsible for the SANS Internet Storm Center (ISC) and the GIAC Gold
program.

The course will be offered at a special discount price of $400 per
student for educational and government institutions. Course
registration is through the SANS course registration website at
http://www.sans.org/info/42993

Seats are limited, so please register as soon as you can.

Looking forward to see you this June at Carnegie Mellon.

Regards,
Wiam
