It's been a while since I used it, but you can tie its authentication to AD.  The data stream can be encrypted as well.

Our help desk just purchased it for their use here as well, and they find it very useful.  Good little utility for a

We have a vendor that supports our conference room display units wanting to replace RealVNC and RDP to those displays 
with the Dameware mini remote control application. Does anyone have any experience with this product and its security 
and encryption?
