Network Analyst, Networking and Communications

Buffalo State College, Senior Staff Assistant, Computing and Technology
Services Department, to begin December 2008.  Excellent professional

Responsibilities: Provide support for the Buffalo State College data
communications network hardware and software. Provide end user support
as well as working with others in Computing and Technology Services to
support current technology and deploy new technologies on the campus
network.  

Required Qualifications: Four year degree in computer science or related
field and relevant work experience, or a two year degree in computer
science or related field and at least 2 years full-time relevant work
experience. Experience with TCP/IP, Internet access, switching, routing,
DHCP, VLANs. Excellent interpersonal communication and organization
skills.  

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CCNA or equivalent network
certification, security and firewall products, interacting with
customers and vendors, Voice over IP, network management software,
working in a team environment, cable plant (both fiber and copper)
management, remote access and wireless technologies, working in a
college environment.
