Security Analyst Position - University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine

The University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine has an opening for
an Information Security Analyst.  If you know someone who might be

Core responsibilities include: providing leadership and process
guidance to central and distributed School management, IT support
staff and users on a wide range of computing security issues;
planning and implementation of computing security policies and
initiatives for the School; developing policy and best practices on
specific security initiatives, including but not limited to HIPAA;
serving as liaison with University computing security, the University
of Pennsylvania Health System computing security and School's
Compliance group; coordinating response to security incidents;
developing risk assessments with associated mitigation plans for
groups in the School of Medicine.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is preferred and 3 years of IT support experience
or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Must have
strong familiarity with major desktop operating systems; working
knowledge of network and security fundamentals expected; knowledge of
server operating systems preferred.

At least two years of experience in the following areas:
- Planning, implementing, organizing, and evaluating technical
projects that impact a large number of users
- Developing and presenting technical materials and policy documents
to technical, non-technical, and management audiences that impact a
large base of users
- Risk analysis and documentation with a security focus
- Developing and implementing communication plans for policy and
functionality changes to a large audience of technical and non-
technical users
