One really quick note, require the vendor to include information security in the solution.  

I can send an example when I am not on a Blackberry, but including information security in vendor RFPs is one of the 
most daunting issues for universities in regards to security today.

I am in the process of writing an RFP in order to upgrade the college’s CCTV system from fully analog to IP. I have 
chosen the systems and Integrators I would like to put a bid on the project. If anyone has already written one and 
could help me with some tips and advice, it would be greatly appreciated. Any tips on designing the system and or 
utilizing the existing infrastructure would also be welcomed.
