Hi Everyone, Let me begin by introducing myself. My name is Henry Hua and I am an IT Specialist here at the North Orange Country Community College District. I am also a graduate student at California State University, Pomona in Internal (IT) Audit. Our district is in initial phases of planning more pro-active Security policy and procedures to better our IT Systems. One of the process that we would like to implement is that of COBIT. Looking through the EDUCAUSE website, there seems to be many institutions that have recognized the significance of the COBIT process. I was hoping that I can get some feedback, process strategy and advice on your COBIT implementation. Some questions that I hope can be answered are: 1. Out of 34 control objectives, which ones were the easiest to deal with and which ones should we be most careful with. 2. What down-falls did you see in your COBIT implementation and why? 3. As IT in higher education, how did you still allow for open and collaborative networks after COBIT is in place. Theses are my major concerns. If there is anything else that seems to be important, please feel free to include. I understand that your time is valuable, but any contribution to a smoother process is greatly appreciate. Thank You So much for your help and understanding in this matter. Henry Hua IT Specialist North Orange County College District (714) 808-4873 hhua () nocccd edu
