One of the things that is driving us toward having a more structured logon process is that, with the deployment of wireless and increasingly of "cafe" areas, the number of machines on our network that are NOT college assets is exploding. So an assertion that the computer *is* will not be received favourably in many quarters. We are, I think, making progress in getting users to understand that the network is a shared resource, and that it is managed by policies and staff just as other campus resources are (such as the library) to ensure that it is available to support the business and the educational mission of the college. One that states the computer and network is a University asset and must abide by its policies? Thank you. Stewart Seruya University of Miami
