We use a combination of a free NetReg application developed by
Southwestern University, another great product called Client Assessment
Tool from Classic Networking, and Cisco's built-in dynamic vlan
switching mechanism. This has been working very well for us over the
past year. This has been very affordable to us being a small liberal
arts college.

Speaking of NAC/NAP, is anyone looking at any products besides Bradford
and Impulse?

P.S. I'm expecting to define the border of our network as any connection
on campus and any remote connection by a campus user (SSL VPN, etc...).
I imagine this will continue to get fuzzier.

I am just a bit curious how you define the border of your network?

A wall jack ;-)
