We've used the "automatic URL removal system" from Google before to remove a file from their cache. I think it takes 24-48 hours, but is faster than waiting for a re-index. http://services.google.com:8882/urlconsole/controller -Tim -----Original Message----- From: William Custer [mailto:custerwl () MUOHIO EDU] Sent: Monday, October 03, 2005 3:02 PM To: SECURITY () LISTSERV EDUCAUSE EDU Subject: [SECURITY] Removing Files From Google cache Does anyone have advice on the best approach for removing files from Google cache or in dealing with Google to do so. They offer a web page of advice on how to do this, but it does not seem to work in a timely way. http://www.google.com/webmasters/remove.html Does anyone have experience or advice on how to do approach this.
