Ditto Firefox's integrated pop-up blocker and Yahoo or Google Toolbar
for IE. Adaware and then Spybot Search and Destroy for spyware removal.

Mozilla's Firefox browser (still in beta, but already faster, more
stable, and more secure than IE) also has excellent pop-up
blocking/management features.
