So, Rodney Petersen says to me "Dude, aren't you paying attention? Cyber Security Awareness Day is now Cyber Security Awareness Month!" I say to Rodney "So, like, sue me." Anyway, October is Cyber Security MONTH. See www.StaySafeOnline.info. This change was based on feedback from our community and others regarding "Sunday" being a bad day to conduct awareness programs and the need for more "flexibility" by having a longer period of time for activities. So, the National Cyber Security Alliance has elected to designate the entire MONTH of October for cybersecurity awareness. Rodney will post more on Friday, I think. But, there is a kick-off event at the National Press Club in D.C. planned for tomorrow in case you hear about it in the media.
