I am curious about how are you related to the hospital.  We are working
on a job description for our health sciences center ISO that may or may
not include information security management at the hospital.  Stamford
has a job description that designates the ISO to report on day-to-day
operations  to CIO of hospital but, as an independent reporting
relationship to the school of medicine dean's office.

command or mutually exclusive relationship with your hospital

The IU School of Medicine just established the ISO position and I came
on board last month.  The school has a normal enrollment of about 1100
students at any one time and we are the first school within Indiana
University to establish such a position.  With all the federal
regulations that I now fall under that require security programs I
can't
imagine doing this part-time for a school twice the size of mine.
