Admin note: just a couple of reminders

Hi everyone,

Just a quick reminder to both new subscribers and long-time subscribers:
we have over 2,400 people who are currently subscribed to the Data Loss
Mail List. Over the last 4+ years, there have been hundreds (maybe
thousands) of others who have subscribed and subsequently unsubscribed.
Since we only have a few moderators on the list (who have day jobs,
families, etc.), please note that the following information appears in the
headers of every email to the list:

List-Unsubscribe: <http://lists.osvdb.org/mailman/listinfo/dataloss>,
     <mailto:dataloss-request () datalossdb org?subject=unsubscribe>
List-Archive: <http://lists.osvdb.org/pipermail/dataloss>
List-Post: <mailto:dataloss () datalossdb org>
List-Help: <mailto:dataloss-request () datalossdb org?subject=help>
List-Subscribe: <http://lists.osvdb.org/mailman/listinfo/dataloss>,
     <mailto:dataloss-request () datalossdb org?subject=subscribe>

If you were able to successfully subscribe (which you were if you're
reading this), then you should be able to successfully unsubscribe
without:

1. sending an email to the dataloss () datalossdb org list post address
2. sending an email to anyone who has a list post approved by the
moderators.

To make things even easier, the following link is available to help
everyone with sub/unsub requests:

http://datalossdb.org/mailing_list

Please email curators () datalossdb org if any problems occur with a
sub/unsub request, but also please keep this information handy for future
reference. Past this point, any requests sent directly to the list or any
moderator's personal email address will be ignored.

For those in the U.S., have a great holiday weekend. For those outside
the U.S., have a great non-holiday weekend!

Lyger
