Irving school officials are planning to offer credit monitoring to 
employees who became identity theft victims after an apparent security 
breach of district records.

Interim Superintendent Neil Dugger said the district will solicit bids 
from companies that provide such services. The service will likely be 
offered free to current and former employees whose names were on a 
benefits report from the year 2000 obtained by identity thieves. About 
3,400 people were on that list.
