The BlackBerry did not have password protection as required by the Health Department, said Carolyn Maxwell, acting director of service and business support for the continuing care division. "Appropriate (disciplinary) action has taken place," Ms. Maxwell said, but she would not disclose what that action is. "That is between the department and the employee." The department requires employees to put passwords on their BlackBerrys so that no one can access the information on them when they are not in use.
