query on Microsoft Firewall

I'm writing a piece on SP2, including the new firewall,
for Network World.  Anyone got
any information they can share on how it's been shown
to be good, not good, sucks, fails to suck, etc. - like,
oh, say, a happy Canvas user who's figured out it's
still just as grotty and vulnerable as pre-SP2 windows?

(I'm assuming my question is Canvas-relevant and Dave-relevant
and thus on-topic...)
