Yep. In fact, when that didn't work, I tried rebooting and I could still get in. Do you have any other patches installed on your 5.3 system? There is only one on my test 5.3 system: # versions -b | grep patch I patchSG0001096 08/12/96 Patch SG0001096: Objectsystem ... The engineers at SGI are working on a patch for this as we speak so hopefully it won't be too much longer.
