Me too.. how about for OSF/1? or is there a good/recommended tool for
such?

Same deal. Shadow frequently requires some tweaking to make it run under
different OS's, but with work the login, su and passwd commands =should=

Thanks.. any site available for such?...

be usable. However, I thought that OSF/1 already had "shadowed" passwords
as it borrowed some of its security model from SecureWare.

Checked yet found none.. maybe on newer versions.. actually am now on DEC
OSF/1 ver 2.0.. any comments?

OSF/1 ver 3.0 with the enhanced security has a very good shadowed
password system. Ver 3.2 should fix some of the strange OSFisms, but
overall it works quite well.
