Hi Marco,

Defence-in-depth is not about just running 2 firewalls from different
vendors, but rather implement security defence in each and every
layers that can be use as entry points to break into your network.

It consist of perimeter security (firewalls), network access
(switches, routers), network access control (authentication
framework), host and gateway intrusion detection/prevention system
(IDS/IPS), gateway anti virus and endpoint security (host based
IDS/IPS, anti-virus, sandboxing, code execution interceptor, etc).

It could also for implementing a good encryption methods for valuable
data stores. network auditing, logging, alerting (SIEM).

Kind regards,
SJ Alex Taidri
