Do you have servers in a data center? How about printing the key onto a sheet of paper or onto a USB key, putting it in a small lockbox, and then locking it into your cage at the Data Center? The only people with access will be the people with access to the servers. And the data center has all the fancy several-factor authentication with mantraps and all that good stuff. -tom On Mon, Aug 17, 2009 at 6:37 AM, Saverio M. <saverio.pub () inbox com> wrote:
In my company we'd like to store offsite a copy of a private key we use for protecting confidential data. Ideally, the company should be: - software oriented (there are similar services for putting documents in boxes, but it's not the case) - the storage should be disconnected from the internet - to retrieve the data some kind of human verification (challenge-response, solve P = NP, et similia) - resident in UK/IE Is there some company that provides this service, or something similar? Are there better (safer/more efficient) solutions?
