Something to consider...... Wiping a hard drive with multiple passovers
can cause lose of life to the drive. Not to mention the heat damage that
can occur.

At my company, I've managed to work out a deal with a local company that
shreds the drives completely. This by far is the safest way to remove
data and decom a hard drive ( and the drive doesn't even have to work :)
)

Just a suggestion......

Subject: DoD aproved disk wiping tool

Hello,

Is there a way of wiping a hard drive remotely over a network using an
approved DoD 5200.28 standard hard drive wiping tool. Additionally, is
there a wiping utility besides bcwipe that is NSA approved?
