Re: AW: Radius server sending mail alerts

Hi Juan,

Yes it is very possible, just about every RADIUS server I know of has
logging and I would expect almost every RADIUS server in existence to be
capable of logging failed authentication attempts. On the Linux/Unix side
failed logon attempts will be written to logfiles on disk, simply write a
small script to email these to yourself.

Microsoft IAS (Internet Authentication Service) is a pretty powerful
RADIUS server and can write failed auth attempts to the security event
log, which in turn can be saved and rotated at an interval of your
choosing, which you may find is a far more effective way of monitoring and
archiving successful / unsuccessful authentications.

Kind Regards,
Mitch Pope

Hi Guys,

I need to know if a Radius server can send mails to
mailboxs in the orgenization to the admin for
example
each time the radius server couldnt authenticate a
user.

Is it possible?

Thanks very much !

Juan
