Hi Juan,

You can use the FTP client that comes with Windows XP, if you check on the
options, you can create a file with all the commands that you want the FTP
client to peform, the client will read that file and execute them one after
the other, so you can login to the remote host, delete the file, and also
copy the backup files...; you can create a batch file to execute the FTP
client with the options and some variables...

You might consider using cygwin (http://www.cygwin.com/) to help you write
some scripts in shell code, or download Perl binaries for Windows
(http://www.northbound-train.com/perlwin32.html) and use Perl.
