A computer technology column regularly contributed to the washington post 
is involved with reviewing antivirus software.  Microsoft; macaffee and 
symantek have already been reviewed and other offerings will follow.  For 
them that don't normally read the washington post, 
http://www.washingtonpost.com should be able to help out some.  You could 
search on antivirus and 10/9/2005 for the first article and go from there.
