you shouldnt need to enter a route? once you have unticked the box, you are back to using your isp assigned default 
gateway on that box

this way you still have access to the remot lan, but anything your pc doesnt know how to router will go through its

Hi,
       I've setup a VPN from work to my home and I would like to avoid
to use the VPN to browse the internet. It runs Win2k3 server.

Is there a way to pass through the VPN only for the "remote LAN"
addresses?

And use the local internet to browse?
