There are only a few handful of industrially-recognized LINUX certs, of which, each one offers a little hardening for 
this:

  >  LPI
  >  CompTIA's LINUX+
  >  Red Hat's RHCE and RHCA

Your best bet would be to check out the UNIX/LINUX System Administrator's track as part of the GIAC of the SANS 
Institute.  There, you'll have a viably recognized certification specific to either/or UNIX and/or LINUX.
