Discussion about IDS's

Hi,

I want to ask about your IDS implementations.

I configured and using snort IDS with 7 sensors. I
just cant rid of the false positives... is it a lot of
maintannce or is it just me ? is it true that in some
firms there is a dedicated person for the IDS system.
I think that it is not worth the effort. is it true
that IDS is a dead solution? I think that is is not a
reliable solution...
