Configure a group policy to push it out and automatically install at 3am
with a forced reboot. The users will get prompts if they are admins and
they can ignore them, but at 3am they get rebooted. There is also the
option to install the patch after a certain amount of time if the computer
was not on at 3am. Check the AD group policy, should be self explanatory.

Thanks.

PS I worked in an IS department and the programmers HAD to have local admin
rights and it worked fine. I fought tooth and nail to prevent regular users
from having admin rights. The spyware and other illegal software that would
get installed. . . . Scary. It used to cost a lot of time and money
cleaning up the Windows 98 boxes.

Subject: SUS server

We have a SUS server in place and it is distributing updates just fine.
My question has to do with the installation of these updates.

Most of my users are local admins (I know I do not need the lecture on how
bad that is). To top it off while the updates get downloaded to their
computers, they are not responding to the prompts to install the updates.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the updates installed. Removing
the local admin rights is not an option right now.
