I have a fresh install of Slackware 9.1. Installed Mysql with the install of the OS. When attempting to start mysqld, I receive an error stating it can not connect to /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock. When I searched for mysql.sock, it is not on the system. How do I go about creating mysql.sock?
