Hello, Look for a firewall that does: 1. circuit level filtering 2. packet level filtering 3. application level filtering. Also you should look into the certifications that some firewalls have ... like the ICSA ( I think it is this one ) is not very useful. I find that the Common Criteria EAL4+ is a good one for a firewall to have. Michael. On Wed, 30 Jun 2004 19:48:43 +0200 Paul Julias <pjulias () cbz co zw> wrote:
Are there any published comparative evaluations of firewall products? I need to conduct an evaluation exercise and recommend purchase of a specific firewall product. Basically I need the firewall connecting a 256K link for mainly SMTPand HTTP, and have about 1000 users. Any recommendation of either hardware or software based firewall products will also help me out, Regards Paul --------------------------------------------------------------------- ------ Ethical Hacking at the InfoSec Institute.
