Hello,

        Look for a firewall that does:

1. circuit level filtering
2. packet level filtering 
3. application level filtering.

Also you should look into the certifications that some firewalls have
... like the ICSA ( I think it is this one ) is not very useful.  I find
that the Common Criteria EAL4+ is a good one for a firewall to have.
