The ISA server is a proxy for OWA. So Mike is correct and it adds a little extra security; however you still need to have your other layers in place as well. Do not rely on this product for all of your security. I know that most of you know this; I am just being redundant... So you can have multiple OWA servers to handle load and such things. Then the ISA server is like a proxy between exchange, for authentication and security. I think.
