Hi,

I know of a few products that might meet your requirements, depending on
your budget they may be overkill.

NetIntelligence from Iomart (http://www.netintelligence.com/) is a security
and content management tool. You can search all your PC's and servers for
images (in categories such as pornography, gore and timewasting.), file
types, known malicious or innapropriate utilities or files, words, file
types and custom categories. You can use custom signatures to track things
like sensitive documents or unlicensed software accross your network. You
can specify a number of actions that are initiated when a search completes.
For instance, you can have inappropriate files automatically deleted, an
email can be sent to the person abusing the system reminding them of
corporate policy, the user can be logged off their account, the account can
be suspended. Depending on the version you choose it can also be used as an
email and Internet filter and a hardware / software asset management system.
A free product trial is available.

Dynacomm i:Scan from FutureSoft
(http://www.dciseries.com/products/iscan/default.asp) provides what the
publisher calls electronic file surveillance. It lets you search for, log
and destroy files on your network based on file type, size, date created, a
key word or a pre-defined file signature. It can also categorise files after
a search according to content. The signatures can be useful in tracking
copies of sensitive documents or unlicensed software accross your network.
Filtering and blocking tools for email and Internet are also available as is
a 15 day product trial.

Orangebox LAN from Cobion
(http://www.cobion.com/index.php?l_ort=2002-03-06-16-43-06) monitors,
analyses classifies and reports on all data held in shares on your network.
It can detect the presence of many types of file and scan the content
(including images, encrypted email messages, archives and PST files) for
inappropriate material. Plug-ins for Lotus Domino and Microsoft Exchange are
also available.

Cheers,

Subject: Check for Confidential Content

Hi there

Does anyone knows if exist a tool that allows search multiple strings in
multiple files at once?
I need to check the public area of my network to see if any confidential or
inapropriate file was posted there. I have a hundred of phrases and
thousands of files to check.

Any help will be welcome.
