Thanks to everybody for the helpful information.

Actually I tried the winpcap on Win2000, it seemed not to work properly.
I will follow the instructions again but this time  in XP. 

I also appreciate the alternative solutions.

Currently I run the nmapwin application from a 2003 standard server OS
with great success. In the past I've also run nmapwin on XP Pro and 2000
server.

Personally, I really dig nmap (both *nix and win versions).

What specific errors are you encountering? Have we tried to re-download
the package? WinCap installed?

Hi folks,

Has anybody been able to setup nmap for windows? I could not get the
right file yet; either it is corrupted or doesn't have the setup files
completely. If this is not the right tool for me, does anybody know an
alternative one?
