I am running a small web site and I am interested in deploying software/hardware which can detect DDoS attacks (SYN floods, application based attacks, etc) on my perimeter network. I have been reading that some products will do this... like Cisco Netflow, Arbor
http://www.ddos.com/html/melior_isecure.html Melior makes a product called iSecure, which a few DNS spamlists use to prevent DDoS attacks from taking them offline. SORBS and SpamHaus are two such lists. This goes a step beyond what you where looking for, but that's not a bad thing. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- __o Bradley Arlt Security Team Lead _ \<_ arlt () cpsc ucalgary ca University Of Calgary (_)/(_) Joyously Canadian Computer Science --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
