Microsoft Exchange IM logging

Good day everyone.

Does anyone know if There is any functionality built into Exchange IM for logging chat sessions? If not, is it possible 
to do this with any third party software? We don't use it yet, but are considering it. What are the thoughts out there 
about any other reputable IM software?
