As a follow up to that... I've noticed that even in an unsecured environment
after this patch we're unable to open some jpg's with no rhyme or
reason...To test them we saved them to the desktop and opened them with
Photoshop or another app and were able to see them fine...I love Microsoft's
sound development practices...

Gareth,

There was a cumulative patch for IE6 in Feb 2003 that may be the cause of
your issue. An update to fix the problem was released.

Hope this helps.

Subject: internet explorer 6 cant view https secure web sites

Hi there was wondering if anybody had any input on the
following.

I work for an ISP, recently we have seen some
customers unable to view secure websites, not a
localised website issue all https sites.

Customers are using IE6, no proxy servers involved no
personal firewalls and no virus protection, ran a
check for spy and addware turned up nothing.

Checked all the usual stuff purged cookies and history
folder, set security and privacy levels. Allowed
Session Cookies, allowed First-Party Cookies.

Tried blocking then unblocking third party cookies.
Enabled and disabled ssl 2.0 and ssl 3.0. Checked the
cipher strength in all cases was set to 128bit. Not
localised to one OS.

In all case the end result is we've gotten customers
to download opera and there has been no problem.
Anybody have any ideas would be extremely grateful.

Probably something really stupid that we've missed.

Thanks in advance
