There is a lossless compression scheme in jpeg2000. Take a look at that. I have no idea whether it is supported by WS. We are working on a project and are looking for a good lossless compression algorithm for stream compression. Would it make sense to use gzip for stream encoding? Any other suggestions? Ideally it would be something that is understood by Wireshark. Thanks, Matt
