Interesting indeed. I believe it is the natural way of things, the convergence of a traditional GUI application and web applications. Though this concept already exists in one form or another right now. The java desktop has similar goals as Longhorn model. We have FLEX, XUL, the thinlet project, etc. So what will the security implications be of these new UI implementations when most fail to understand the basics of web application security? Thoughts?
