What's worse.

1. You notice that your neighbor's car lights are on and windows are down.
So you open the door, and turn off the lights.

2. You notify your neighbor that his lights were on, and allow them to deal
with it.

Option #2 doesn't get you in any legal trouble.


If you happened to fix any 'governmental computer, they would probably treat
the intrusion as an attack, and not the good deed you intended.

I'm just waiting for the day where a sysadmin gets fed up with being
scanned
by NIMDA and rewrites NIMDA to start patching the systems it infects.

What would you call such a beast, a retro-virus or an anti-virus virus?
