yeah. those are md5 hashes, much like freebsd (and now openbsd). that's three fields, all preceded by dollar signs.They *are* from FreeBSD. In fact, according to <http://www.freebsd.org/~phk/> Cisco just picked up one of the versions of FBSD crypt.c. I am sorry for not stressing that point further.
