Dear tcpdump workers, A few weeks ago I filed https://github.com/the-tcpdump-group/tcpdump/pull/578 to add support to decode a BGP Shutdown Communication. The shutdown communication is specified here https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-idr-shutdown-07 and has already been implemented in various BGP speakers such as openbgpd, exabgp, pmacct, frr & gobgp. I consider tcpdump one of the key pieces software projects that should receive patches for new BGP features, and would like to see this move forward. Any feedback would be appreciated! Kind regards, Job
