It occurred to me we might be having intermittent network issue, but I was reminded of the fact that Pulledpork did reach through and get a 403, as well as triggering the 15 min time limit. I am able to reach the Snort rules from my browser if that means anything. Neither my server or workstation is able to ping snort.org, however, though that may just be their firewall setting. Do you have any suggestion on what kind of checks to conduct? I asked our network guy and his opinion was that we should be able to reach Snort.
