Aswesomes. I thought hosting it for you guys might be "complicated" but I really don't care where it is ultimately. Seriously, it seems a good idea for me (or or EmergingThreats or Google or my hosting conglomerate) to start logging/storing/uploading as needed the Snort Open Source Project files so in a few years I have an Open Source repo of what i need and don't have to be asking again and realizing that SourceFire/Snort has let a lot of source availability trickle down the drain. Thanks Joel and all for the help so far. -Mike Cox On Fri, Aug 10, 2012 at 1:28 PM, Joel Esler <jesler () sourcefire com> wrote:
Nice of you to offer. I'm sure with all of our vast resources, we can find a place for it to go. So where is the historical code? (Seriously, not trying to be a jerk but where is it?) Mike, As I've said already today and yesterday. I'll have to get the code together and get it up somewhere. I have to get it out of a couple places, and find all the way back as far as I can go. It's not going to be today. It might be next week. Maybe. But I have to figure out where to host it, Snort.org is way more complicated than it looks. -- Joel Esler Senior Research Engineer, VRT OpenSource Community Manager Sourcefire _______________________________________________ Emerging-sigs mailing list Emerging-sigs () lists emergingthreats net http://lists.emergingthreats.net/mailman/listinfo/emerging-sigs Support Emerging Threats!
