This looks suspiciously like a question from a student on a course that includes Snort in it. i.e. A contrived situation. The answers you seek are in the snort manual, the README files and the many other sources of information on the Internet. -- Nigel Houghton Head Mentalist SF VRT http://vrt-sourcefire.blogspot.com && http://labs.snort.org/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Download Intel® Parallel Studio Eval Try the new software tools for yourself.
