Subject: [Snort-users] New Sensor: FreeBSD 4.10 or 5.3?

Question for FreeBSD users. I'm setting up a couple of new sensors. I'm
debating whether to go with 5.3 or stick with 4.10. I've had some
problems with some nics and 5.3, but I've got new nics that work fine.

What version are you (FreeBSD users) running?

 4.10 and 5.3

5.3-STABLE. It's lovely.

5.3 is now in production, use 5.3 Release for production purposes. If
you need to know the difference between Current and Stable look here...

 http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/current-stable.html

Essentially, Stable is still a development branch and it could break,
the Release versions are for production use.
