Be sure to post back to the list as your answer may give useful data that would help someone else to help you. Do html pages work? Try a simple one and see. If yes theb it sounds like there may be a problem with your php installation. -----Original Message----- From: Marvin Cummings <marvinc () gmail com> To: Shawn Kottke <skottke () datalink com> Sent: Fri Dec 03 14:11:38 2004 Subject: Re: [Snort-users] problems accessing acid console Yes IIS is installed with php and index.html in the documents directory. I just added acid_main.php and tried to navigate to it but I got the same error. I notice that if I use the IP of the server I get prompted for a username and password. With this I tried logging in as snort, acid, local@acid and neither worked. I created a phpinfo file and tried to navigate to it but that didn't work. Stumped!! A couple of quick thoughts: 1. Do you have IIS enabled with the acid_main.php or index.html as a startup page? 2. Is php installed on the box? -----Original Message----- From: snort-users-admin () lists sourceforge net [mailto:snort-users-admin () lists sourceforge net] On Behalf Of Marvin Cummings Sent: Friday, December 03, 2004 1:40 PM To: Snort Subject: [Snort-users] problems accessing acid console I'm getting a page not found error when trying to access the acid console after installing and configuring snort on a w2k3 server. Snort is installed and running as a service and I can monitor traffic on the interface. My settings in the acid_conf.php file are as following: $DBlib_path = "d:\applications\adodb"; $DBtype = "mssql"; $alert_dbname = "snort"; $alert_host = "localhost"; $alert_port = ""; $alert_user = "acid"; $alert_password = "go4itnu05!"; $archive_dbname = "archive"; $archive_host = "localhost"; $archive_port = ""; $archive_user = "acid"; $archive_password = "go4itnu05!"; $ChartLib_path = "d:\applications\phplot"; Would someone be able to tell me what I'm missing or doing wrong?
