Kismet to Snort

Anyone have any experience forwarding traffic logged in kismet to snort 
using named pipes (fifo=/file)?  Is it possible to log the kismet alerts 
(like deauthflood and netstumbler) to mysql via snort?  I'm new to snort but 
a fast learner.  Any help would be appreciated.
